A Vélez de Guevara classic, adapted by Juan Mayorga, performed by a company of clowns. A work with two plots: that of Vélez’s crazy work, and that of a company always on the verge of failing. And this is how characters from the 16th century raise roofs and travel through the lands and airs of a grotesque Spain.

A clown classic? A clown show with classic quotes? No way! A very clownish classic; very clownish and very classic. The naive and wild look of the clown is capable of paying homage to the classic and, at the same time, making fun of it and our relationship with the classics, in general.

Rhum & Company. began its career in 2014 with Rhum and has been followed by Rhümia (2016), Rhumans (2018) and Gran Reserva (2020). Until the end of 2020, it has visited more than 70 theatres with over 240 performances that have been seen by more than 60,000 spectators. Among many others, their red noses have been on the stages of La Abadía and Circo Price in Madrid, Teatro Central in Seville, Bretón in Logroño, Principal in Vitoria, Principal in Castellón, Principal in Palma de Mallorca, Teatro Circo de Murcia, Teatre Arniches in Alicante, Teatre Lliure in Barcelona for 5 seasons… and festivals such as Festival Grec (on 3 occasions), Temporada Alta, Feten, Trapezzi.

In addition, they have garnered numerous successes, and also awards, seeking absurd and hooligan humor, but also magic, tenderness and emotion, always from the essence of the clown.
